Sometimes I am so on top of things– like the time I picked out my Halloween costume in August and purchased all the cards I need for the next several months in a single trip to Target.
And sometimes I have “schedule podiatrist appointment” on my to-do list for weeks 🤷♀️ It’s way too easy to stay busy taking care of the things that don’t really matter.
I had an endo appointment Thursday. I tend to leave those feeling a bit bummed.
No surprise that my numbers weren’t great– I had an infection on my arm from the GC then was sick in June, I took a lot of ibuprofen for the pain associated with my blisters during my CT hike, I didn’t have a sensor the last few days on the CT so I ran high, and the last few weeks my body has been healing.
Scheduling that podiatrist appointment is back at the top of my to-do list. My doctor also thinks it’s time to try an insulin pump. Change is a good thing, right? Now I’m waiting to hear back from Medtronic to start that process– and while I’m waiting I’m doing all the research.
In other news, I ran 9 miles today. Exactly 3 weeks after completing the Colorado Trail. No pain, minimal discomfort– which is good because I’m running Wineglass Half Marathon in just over a month.
