Layover day!!
After three big days on the water everyone seemed ready to relax. Although– I use that term loosely because we all spent some time hiking during the layover.
Bass Camp was absolutely fabulous. Definitely makes my Top Five Favorite Grand Canyon Camps list.
It was a bit cold first thing in the morning, but due to the camp location and direction of the sun, we had a nice sunny camp starting pretty early in the day.

Grand Canyon Yard Sale?
One of the things everyone was most excited for on this sunny layover was being able to hang our wet clothing and gear out to dry!
Everyone split up for hikes throughout the day. Nick, Evan, JB, and I hiked 4-5 miles [according to my Garmin] round trip down Shinumo Creek and back up to Fan Island.

It was such a beautiful Grand Canyon day.
