I didn’t grow up eating seafood, and now as an adult I’m always slightly hesitant to try it because I don’t really have the taste for seafood developed. There are a few types of seafood I really enjoy though– one of those being shrimp.
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
2 gloves garlic, minced
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 lemon, juiced
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook linguine until tender, about 6 – 8 minutes. Drain.
Melt butter with olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes. Add shrimp to skillet and cook until pink, stirring occasionally. Pour white wine and lemon juice into skillet and bring to a boil. Simmer and toss linguine and shrimp into mixture until coated.
Serve with garlic bread if desired.
And that’s it! Super simple, right?
Your turn! Are you a seafood newbie too? What’s your favorite way to eat shrimp?
